Heaven is Waiting for Me (1998) Joe Halter/M. Papierski Charlie Cilley and I had stopped by Bill Johansen’s home a few times to speak and pray with Bill who battled cancer. The week Bill died we prayed with him and Pat, his wife of fifty plus years. I was so struck by the peace that Bill and Pat had in the midst of Bill’s impending death that I wrote this song and shared it with Pat. I was concerned about sharing this song with Pat so soon after Bill’s death but I did so at the Holy Spirit’s prompting and Pat was so very appreciative. It taught me to be more responsive to the Spirit’s leading. Heaven is Waiting For Me
