One of the most damaging sins for men is lust. It affects every man nearly every day no matter the age or background. Men, we must do everything possible to free ourselves from this sin because if we don’t it will destroy our hearts, minds and souls and eventually our lives. As we are destroyed our wives and children will also suffer. Jesus is the “Water of Life that Frees.” By the power of His name we can quench the fire of lust. Christ bought us for a price and we now belong to Him. Satan has been defeated. Lust can be defeated if we will only call out to Jesus and walk in His light.

I see them every day,

On countless TV shows.

In ads and magazines,

And music videos.

I see them at the health club,

And on the movie screen.

On billboards and in the malls,

On the web and in the street.

Women I don’t know,

Fill my thoughts and dreams.

And gratify my mind,

With lust filled fantasies.

I hear this voice inside,

“Gotta live to please yourself,

And satisfy the urge,

That burns below your belt.”

The lust that’s in my heart,

Consumes my mind and soul.

It rages deep within,

And burns out of control.

But Jesus is the answer.

He’s the water that I need,

To quench the raging fire,

I try to justify,

Who and why I am.

Convinced that I’m no different,

Than any other man.

But when the Righteous Light of God,

Shines inside of me,

I can’t deny the truth.

This sin is all I see.
