The Cilley Man (1998)

Charlie
Cilley accepted Christ at fifty years of age and he’s been trying to make up for
lost time ever since. I have known few men so passionate about spreading the
“Good News.” Charlie seems locked in to the Holy Spirit and I admire him for
that. He is always ready and willing to act upon the Spirit’s leading at any
time day or night. It seemed as if every time I would see Charlie he would be
wearing a tie. One day a chided him about that grabbing his tie and yanking
it. To my surprise Charlie’s clip-on tie ended up in my hand. Charlie just
laughed. I appreciate his healing ministry and his desire to have every
Christian receive the Holy Spirit into their heart.

Chorus
He’s a dancing fool, a fool for Christ.
Spirit filled, electrified.
Tellin’ the world, about God’s own Son.
Led by Faith, he’s gettin’ it done.
Sleeps fully dressed, with a clip on tie,
Awaiting God’s call, he’s got the Spirit on-line.
Anointing and healing, and laying on hands.
Radically saved, he’s the Cilley man.
You can find him in the church,
You can find him on the street.
Livin’ God’s Word,
And feedin’ God’s sheep.
Housing the homeless,
And leading the lost.
Bringing them all,
To the foot of Christ’s Cross.
He’s the Deacon of the Dance,
He’s the Broker we revere.
He’ll sell you on Jesus,
Just lend him your ear.
Sinners are saved,
Not by his own hand,
But “By the grace of God”,
Says the Cilley man.
“By the grace of God”,
Says the Cilley man.
Chorus
Instrumental
Bridge
He’s an inspiration to all who claim Christ,
I’m proud to say that he’s a brother of mine.
Chorus
Radically saved, he’s the Cilley man.
Radically saved, he’s a silly man...
